Yesterday, Three/21 shot with the homie Statik Selektah and the legendary Bun B in Brooklyn, NY. This is Part I of a three part series since we’ll be shooting this video on multiple days. It’s definitely one of Statik’s most mature track to date and the narrative concept built around Statik’s life will definitely bring those feelings home. Shout out to Bun B for coming through and look for Part II of the BTS featuring Colin Monroe coming soon. Enjoy! – Three/21 Media

SickBoy – GleeMix (Remix EP)

January 21, 2010 |  by  |  EP  |  No Comments  |  Share  |

What is Gleemix? Well, it’s an experiment of sorts. One that incorporates the wildly popular and award-winning show, Glee, with the production talents of Sickboy, a Washington, DC based producer. What’s fascinating is not just the content of this EP, but also the context. Think about it, these are remixes of songs that were remade for a TV show! Sounds pretty interesting, right? It is. Gleemix takes six songs from the Glee Soundtrack, and transforms them into an unexpected, gratifying experience. Ranging from Hip Hop to Techno, Dubstep to House, fast to slow, dark to light, Gleemix has something for everyone. Sickboy uses everything from the tiniest shard of sound, to large musical phrases, and combines it with his own skills to create something that is not just new, but also extraordinary. That is Gleemix.
