While the official album has yet to see the light of day, the full length movie documenting the creation of Proofs last full length album has made it to the internet. For those that don’t recall, DJ Jewels Baby challenged Big Proof to write and record an entire album in 24 hours and the entire process was documented on film. The project has yet to be released. The premiere of the movie, a year and a day following his death, was moved last minute from the Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History to a much smaller venue as a result of city politics due to the circumstances and controversy surrounding Proofs passing. The fuckery ultimately left the project in the dark to the masses.
DJ Jewels Baby very quietly placed the movie in its entirety online and despite the annoying For Promotional Use only tag in the middle it’s a good watch. Hopefully this means the album still has hope of seeing the light of day.
