Two back-to-back N.E.R.D posts? Why not. N.E.R.D has a history of performing new music from their upcoming albums during live shows and here’s another one of those cases. Two new cuts from their forthcoming album titled Nothing (I liked Instant Gratification better) due out June 15th?
Update: There first single “Hot & Fun” might drop today. Might.
PREVIOUSLY: N.E.R.D feat. Fam-Lay, Santigold & Lil Wayne – Soldier (1st Version)

So here’s the first version of N.E.R.D’s Soldier which featured Fam-Lay and Lil’ Wayne doing adlibs. The final cut did not feature the two. What bugs me is that there’s also an even earlier version that N.E.R.D performed which had a verse from Wayne on the song’s bridge. Meh. N.E.R.D’s forthcoming album Nothing is expected to hit store shelves on June 15th. via TheNeptunes

Nas speaks with LA Leakers about the current state of hip hop. Anyone else notice Damian doesn’t speak much in interviews?
HardKnock TV caught up with Jay Electronica to talk about why him and Erykah Badu havent worked together yet, what he thinks about all the controversy surrounding the Window Seat Music Video, his relationship with Nas and when we can expect a new album from him
Originally this concert was to take place at the House of Blues in LA, but they pulled out last minute for unknown reasons. Weird how that keeps happening. In 2007 the premiere of Proof’s “Time A Tell” was moved last minute when the venue pulled out as well. Never fear, Houseshoes and company won’t be told no and the show most definitely went on. All proceeds from the show went to Proof’s family. DeShaun “Proof” Holton passed away Four years ago April, 11th. RIP Peezy.
On April 14th, 2010, HouseShoes and DJ Salam Wreck brought a few of their friends out to celebrate the memory of “The Mayor of Detroit,” DeShaun “Proof” Holton. In this clip, Shoes explains how the benefit for his fallen comrade came to fruition; while, Frank Nitt hits us with his classic Dilla callabo, “Pause.” Also, the duo Crown Royale (Buff1+DJ Rhettmatic), giving the crowd something to bounce to. Now, give it up for that! Detroit Stand Up! – KPLtv
