A couple weeks ago I ventured over to Blockheads in Midtown Manhattan for a couple Margaritas with the homeys @KlepOne & @Bombshell_mel. Shortly after, a couple other hip-hop connoisseurs joined in on the fun. After a couple alcoholic beverages were consumed, the topic of hip-hop landed on the table. Sighs.
It’s obvious everyone at that table had a different view of what hip-hop actually is, so a heated debated ensued. Did the south dumb it down? Are Soulja Boy and Lil B consider candidates for making timeless music? Is Nicki Minaj really THAT good? Is it wrong to dance to Waka Flocka Flame?? Is radio to blame? Yep, we covered it all (well most of it).
Yes, I’m slightly under the influence, but I feel like that’s when I’m at my best. And YES, I talk with my hands a lot. Sorry lol. However, @Bombshell_mel and @GlennyKravitz stole the show. Blame @eb_the_celeb for bringing out the camera and putting a battery in EVERYONES back.

I feel like Hip Hop was really unified back in the day where as now a days you have so many different SUB genres. This is a pretty interesting video because it does make both points very well. Although i do cringe when I hear someone say Soulja Boy is hip hop.
