Hmm, I don’t think there is a specific age group for rap. Well there is and there isn’t. But to be perfectly honest, it goes back to what you can relate to and what you find acceptable. Seeing how Bow Wow grew up right before our very eyes, his acceptance within the rap community has been very limited due to the type of content he distributes. Now that doesn’t take away from the type of success he’s achieved, nor will it ever but Bow’s credibility as a lyrical artist will never be a topic of discussion due to the fact we’ve never looked at Bow like that. Again, that doesn’t take away from his talent or success, it just leaves him from under the umbrella of being mentioned on these lists that are being made.

The ragging on Shawn Carter is simple: Give other folks a chance. Not in a sense of “Yo, you’ve lost it- give it up!” But from the stand point of, what more can you accomplish in this game? What more is there for you to say. Personally, I’ll take a Jay-Z album any day, but this derives from the voice of SOME of the general public and his competition. And at the end of the day, a discussion like this revolves around what you LIKE. What you’re going to tolerate. What you can relate to.

Hip-hop isn’t like the NFL or the NBA, you don’t have to be a certain age to partake in the festivities. So until that rule is enforced, which it will never be, your personal preference will be your gateway to what you press play on. There are certain things I expect from certain artists which ultimately should prepare you for what you’re about to take in. It’s not an age thing ladies and gents, it’s a PREFERENCE. What do YOU prefer??

Big Sean- I Don't Think They Want It

If I’m not mistaking, I heard this awhile back when an MP3 of album snippets from Sean’s debut LP leaked. Some of those snippets ended up on Finally Famous Vol.3, but obviously this didn’t. If my ear serves me correct, this is probably unfinished. However, this shit goes!

Rick Ross- So In Love

Is Rozay in love? Nah, he’s just talking that fly shit as usual. Here’s something new from Ricky’s Trapaholics mixtape that, according to X, should be arriving soon. However, this sounds like a lead off verse to an R&B slow jam. Either way, its a keeper.
