In case you’ve been under a rock for the past 3 months, Young Chris’ talents now reside under Rico Love’s Division 1 label which recently inked a joint venture deal with Universal Motown making Young Chris the first official artist on the imprint.
To get the boat sailing, Chris released a new mixtape titled The Re-Introduction with Don Cannon and DJ Drama last month. With things moving swiftly for Chris, the Philly native is now hitting the road to promote the project and get his name buzzing again.
Last week, I sat with Young Chris before his SOBs performance, the same performance where the Young Gunner collapsed from a seizure (he’s recovering rapidly as we speak) and inquire about who he has his eye on in regards to collaborations, things he plans to do differently this time around and much much more. In this clip, we discuss whether or not he was hesitant in signing with Rico who has no track record of collaborating heavily with a street spitter such as Young Chris.

We’ve heard about this song before over the years as a track that includes Shady Record’s artist Cashis. I’m not sure if Cashis was removed from the song and it was revamped with new verses or not, but if it’s the original 2007 track sans Cashis’s verse I’m not expecting anything too exciting. 2007 era Eminem and 50 Cent do nothing for me. We’ll see.
A one hour bonus interview off of the DJ Premier vs Pete Rock DVD.
