On August 28th Lil Wayne and R&B bad boy Chris Brown will take to the VMA stage at The Nokia Theater for the MTV’s 2011 VMA’s. Brown who is nominated for Best Hip Hop video and Best Collaboration said about his performance, “I am excited about my nominations and to be back on the VMA stage,” Brown said in a statement. “I have a special performance planned for my wonderful fans.”

Wayne, who will celebrate the release of his forthcoming effort Tha Carter IV several hours after the VMA’s is also nominated for Best Hip-Hop video for his ”6 Foot 7 Foot” visual. No word on what or who Wayne will be performing with for his set.

The VMA’s air live on MTV on August 29th, 2011 at 9pm.
