The greatest hip-hop video vixen of all time is back (again) gracing the cover of KING Magazine‘s Winter 2010 issue. Our good friend Andreas Hale spoke with the former video vixen and she had some pretty interesting stuff to say:
KING: While reaching you, via Blackberry Messenger, to schedule this interview your status read “Busy Watching Porn.” Um, please explain. Do you really indulge in porn?
MELYSSA: [Laughs] I definitely do. I don’t really have a particular genre of porn and I’m not really a fetishist. Sometimes I want to see if there are some tricks to expand my sexual repertoire. It’s not like I started watching it yesterday. Boyfriends are like, “let’s watch some porn!” Rather than being disgusted by it, I’d say, “sure, let’s watch it.”
The Women of KING’s Winter 2011 Issue will be on newsstands on October 19th.
Every now and then you might catch Elle and I exchange pleasantries via Twitter. I remember seeing Elle, and screwing her name up might I add, this past January at the Apollo Theater opening for Alicia Keys. Elle performed an array of unfamiliar material but by the end of her set each tune was embedded in my “I need to leak this material” stash box.
Shortly after her performance, I was notified of her correct performance and started blabbing on Twitter on how great she was. Apparently, I was late. Screw it, I still blabbed away. I formally met Elle in the press room after and again told her how dope she was. In the months to come Elle and I would cross paths at various award shows and industry shindigs dapping each other an sharing a couple laughs. Of course I would still bug her about sending me a couple joints to share with you guys.
Well, the day has finally arrived…sort of. Elle alley ooped this BTS video of a recent photo shoot she did down in Miami. What’s even more exciting is one of the songs I fell in love with is actually being played throughout the clip. It’s titled “Valentine.” If you didn’t know, Elle is signed to MBK/J-RCA Records and has also inked a co-publishing agreement with Sony Music Publishing. Not to mention Ms. Varner here is also being dubbed as ”A new diamond of brilliance” by the NY Post.

Amber Rose channels the London skinhead movement in this behind the scenes photoshoot with Persona Mag:
The video is comprised of behind-the-scenes footage from Persona’s photo shoot with Amber Rose that retells the story from the film, “This is England”. The film centers on a group of London Skinheads hanging in England during the 1960s. It was a time when this particular subculture didn’t bother with politics and race but more fixated themselves on the unisex fashion, music, and lifestyle-alternate to the popular Mod trend. Deviating from the norm and portraying this rebellious attitude, the Skinheads represented a time of change much like the shaven-headed beauty, Amber Rose.

Still putting Breezy on blast, I see:
“There were control issues, insecurity,” she says in the February issue of W magazine. “When people are insecure, they become very controlling and they can get very aggressive and in turn abusive. It doesn’t have to be physical. Like, they would say bad stuff to you to make you feel lesser than them, just so they would have control in the relationship. It takes a big toll on your emotions and on your everyday life. It changes you.” via MTV
