This album is the perfect drunken masterpiece to describe who we are once a little liquor enters our liver. It’s about a lifestyle and how the choices you make good or bad can effect you. We took something that happened to us and used it as a positive to educate others while still making sure they have fun. If you listen close enough you’ll find the message & the story in the middle of the madness. Now pour you up a cup turn the volume up and make sure you call that Uber to get to your destination. Nes Wordz is regarded as one of Ohio’s most talented and respected artists. He makes his debut on Exec Gang Music with the highly anticipated album, Stupid Genius, which features production from Billionaire BoyScout (French Montana, Gucci Mane), SupaNatra (Safaree, French Montana, Willie The Kid) and Tha Audio Unit (Smoke DZA, Jeremih, MGK). After premiering his single, Holy Ghost, on Radio One’s Power 107.5 for the past two weeks, Stupid Genius is now available on iTunes, Google Play, Beats Music, Pandora and Spotify. Stupid Genius is a journey through the mind of Nes Wordz who says that he’s the, “smartest, dumbest person you know.” The deluxe 19 track album displays his triumphs with songs like Winner and as well as his shortcomings with Faded Glory, and They Gone Love Me. The album certainly provides treats with Get It Gone, and Whole Thing, as well as with How It Feels that brings you back to 1985. Lastly, Stupid Genius features verses from Ohio’s own Darrio Pope, SupaNatra and Dominique Larue.
The Boston emcee chronicles his story with the release of his highly anticipated project Twelve, which is self-produced alongside his brother Tedd Boyd. Following up a number of well-received singles such as “99 Altima” and “The Button”, James provides a complete body of work which is powered by honest lyricism and smooth production.
“Twelve is a representation of my life and the changes that occurred to me from age 12 to 24. This project is my journey from adolescence to adulthood and the main theme throughout is growth. To me, if something is not growing then it is dead. So ultimately, I hope this piece will inspire people and help them through whatever struggles they are experiencing” James said.
On May 1st, Yonkers bred R&B singer/songwriter/producer created a 7 song set called The Looper. Now I know what you’re thinking to yourself, well one of two things: This shit is probably garbage OR how does one actually create an album in one sitting. Seeing how I’ve witnessed Anthony do this LIVE on stage during SEVERAL performances at Nema’s Boom Boom Room, it’s VERY possible. And each time he attempted to do so? The end result was of above average quality.
So here we are, May 5th and The Looper is getting rave reviews but some folks still aren’t convinced this is actually possible and if it is, it can’t be THAT great. Oh, I forgot to tell you, Anthony did this by HIMSELF by looping his OWN voice when creating the production through beatboxing, harmonizing and stacking his melodies and obviously singing. Not to mention he himself adds percussion and tickles the ivory when need be. This is a work of art if I’ve ever seen one ladies and gents. Stream and THEN download the project, below!
