Street Album: A.P. – Will I.E. (The Example)

December 14, 2011 |  by  |  STREET ALBUM  |  No Comments

People always ask me what is the difference between a street album & a mixtape. The answer, a street album first and foremost has to be all original production, a mixtape doesn’t. A street album gets that title because it really does feel like a album. No tags, just good music. There is a few differences and the MAIN one is the quality of the music you set your ears upon. I would not class this new project from the homie A.P. as a mixtape, AT ALL! This is album type shit right here, a album he is giving us for free. DOPE. Hit the jump.

LP: The Mohicans – Uncas

November 14, 2011 |  by  |  MUSIC, STREET ALBUM  |  No Comments

Not sure if you remember, but I posted a song from this Dallas, Texas duo awhile back called “Fa Shiggadow” which caught my attention while I attended a music conference down in Dallas several months back. These two attend Texas Tech University and like I stated previously bring a handful of diversity to the game. Sort of like a modern day Outkast.

This past weekend the duo released a mixtape called Uncas, a 13 track project filled with NOTHING but original cuts. Standouts include, “Start The Show”, “Bye-Gone 2.0″, “Smoke Sum”, “Fa Shiggadow”, and “Queen.” Tracklist and download link, below.

1.Intro 01:40
2.Start The Show 03:56
3.Chilling 05:59
4.Does Not Compute 04:05
5.Head Lights 04:58
6.Bye-Gone 2.0 04:36
7.Smoke Sum 04:20
8.Identity Crisis 04:52
9.Cut My Tires 05:07
10.Queen 04:24
11.Fa Shiggadow 05:06
12.Thats 70s 02:32
13.Outro 14:13
