The Blue Note is an eccentric project that blends a bevy of soul sticking samples over a concotion of thick drums and slapping snares. The concotion is topped off with a heavy sprinkle of a Jazz esque ambiance that would take weeks of perfecting to make a flawless ambiance. Oakland native, Rich Nitty gives us his take over Ace Hood’s “Hustle Hard” offering. The 26 year old who now relocated to NYC after he got accepted to the New York School for Film and Television to pursue a career in acting but later turned his talents to music. After graduating and heading to VA, Nitty slid back to NYC to get things cracking with the music through the hustling of the nightlife as a promoter. I think we’ll see more of Rich around these parts.

Soulfully, Me submitted a freestyle over Ye’s “Diamonds” but I really wasn’t feeling the synergy between him and the beat, but I thought he had potential. So, I went digging. And here we are. Soulfully, Me last mixtape Confessions Of College Kid. On “Hold On” Soulfully takes us through a break up with his significant other and how he never meant to hurt shorty doo wop. Sounds like a long distance relationship gone bad. Yeah, I hate long distance relationships.
