Think Drake x Curren$y x Beanie Siegel x Pink Floyd. No, I’m not saying that to catch your attention. I get a good amount of people asking me to post their music everyday in my inbox and twitter. I don’t get enough time to check everything, for the most part I listen though. This man, Ryshon Jones, has caught my attention. At only 19 the Philly emcee is more than ready to grow into a permanent fixture in the game. He just sounds like he gets it. This rap thing comes natural, you either have it or you don’t, and this kid does. With old soul, dark melodic slow jams, samples you would never expect a kick drum over and even acapella’s at times, “The Lower I Fall, The Higher I Aim” is on another level. Take the line “Jumpin’ out a plane with no parachute, I’m fallin high, suicide in my second life, I feel so alive” on “No Parashoot” for example. No, I mean take it. Go try to find me something else like this anywhere. Do not nap on this. I am telling y’all this kid is something else. This is spiritual warfare on wax right here. As he put’s it…
The Lower I Fall The Higher I Aim: the war between good and bad, heaven and hell, doubt and belief..Falling High,if you truly want something you never stop, the more adversity knocks you down, the higher you reach for you goals. The Cover represents heaven falling from the sky and hell rising from the ground through her heart
Enjoy.

With a steady grind and hunger to make it, Florida’s Blac Kaspa is ready for the spotlight. His latest single “Drippin’ Wet” is steadily gaining regular airplay across the country without any sign of going away anytime soon.
The Mississippi born MC goes on to say “My motivation right now is the current state of Hip-Hop, It’s all garbage, brainwashing, filth. I mean really, Hip-Hop is a mess right now. My music is uncharted territory, the obstacles are endless, but the obstacles that should be worried about is me.”
Don’t be shy to listen to the unknown people. That’s how we get new artists to begin with. No sleeping. Go get your cut buddy and hit play! Your welcome.

It takes a lot to get me to even listen to your music, let alone have it on repeat. This is refreshing right here. Something different. Who are The Few? Find out…
The modus operandi of The Few is to create. Deca, Pre Pre and F.C. Belt began the project with the mission of writing and releasing new music quickly. While each member has years of experience as a producer and composer, the group is successful because they draw on their individual talents and skills: Deca is a lyricist, vocalist and multi-instrumentalist who comes from a family of accomplished musicians and artists, F.C. Belt is a professional guitarist and orchestra conductor, and Pre Pre has the intuition and incisive vision to bring each project to fruition. The first release from The Few is FLA Heartbreak, a timely exploration of love and relationships set against the backdrop of Florida’s urban decay and suburban sprawl.

TL is from Queens, NY….consider “Casualties Of War” an introduction.
HEADS UP: Superstar Jay
Not feeling how long the intro took, but once things got rollling, HiCLAS had me hooked with his message. If you’re a youngin’, this is JUST what you need to hear. The Chicago native might be on to something. “Young & Strong” will be featured on HiCLAS! Runners From Nowhere project which is set to hit the eStreets soon.

I’m not even mad at this. Something quick and to the point. Not to much bragging, but enough confidence to keep me curious about what his other material sounds like. Thoughts?

Ooooo, now I like this. Dustin-Prestige smooths it out with the funky composition “Catalina Wine Mixer.” And since I loooooooooooves me some Wine, I can see myself playing this under the influence. Not a huge of the chorus, but the Jazz like ambiance infused those drums is the perfect combination. Give praise to Chris Rockaway for the live instrumentation.

You may have remembered Will Roush from his debut mixtape last year with DJ Skee and DJ Whoo Kid Know My Name. Now, Roush is releasing his debut single “Live It Up” featuring Chaz Mishan of The Fliptones. Will is currently dealing with Super Ventricular Taphnocardio (SVT), a rare heart condition that caused him to lose 100 pounds last year. The up-tempo “Live It Up” showcases Will’s ability to fight through adversity.

I actually met this kid a couple times through a mutual friend. And to be honest, with the mood I’ve been in today, this shit is pretty damn soothing. But, I’ll let Spree break it down for you guys.
Spree Wilson is back with a very necessary addition to your playlist which features the incomparable Esthero. This magical musical collaboration is an important record which showcases Spree’s range and diversity. Esthero not only produces the record, but also delivers a remarkable understated honey dripped vocal performance creating a beautiful duet. All of this makes for a tasty memorable combination, completed by a backing track of ear candy provided by the always eclectic noise-smith Hot Sugar.
