Common recently stopped by Cosmic Kev’s spot where he spat a few bars. In part 1 he goes in over Jay-Z’s “Streets Is Watching” & part 2 it’s French Montana’s “Shot Caller”. Part 2 after the division.
Well Common, Sherbert is NOT responding to you in any form or fashion. The Canadian King recently spoke with Nation over at NahRight about NOT responding to Common, his line directed at Vanessa Bryant on “Stay Schemin”, his plans for The Weeknd and what’s up next for him musically. Check out Drake’s explanation for ignoring Common’s lyrical jabs, below! Take Care is in stores now.
No. Because despite how it’s been worded by him that situation is not a “hip hop moment” or a “battle for the sake of musical integrity”…it’s a ploy for attention around the release of an album. More than anything it was just disappointing cause what kid isn’t a fan of what Common has done for our genre. A guy who made such an incredible career for himself based off expressing genuine feelings about life and love is now targeting me for sharing my story.

Wale sat down with Boi-1da.Net where he shared his thoughts on SOPA and how he’s a fan of the way things are now but didn’t speak too much about it due to his lack of knowledge of the subject. The MMG solider shed a bit of light on the different emotions that drive his music and how he balances them out as well as learning different lessons in life. Towards the latter of the interview Wale gives his thoughts on the state of hip-hop, Common’s “Sweet”, his project with Mark Ronson and his third LP.

Common briefly addressed the lyrical tension between him & the Toronto titan stating he has nothing more to say about the issue. It’s interesting that they were both at Sundance this past weekend and didn’t run into each other. Hmmm. Since Sherbert won’t be responding to Common anytime soon, I think it’s safe to say this is going to die out peacefully. The Dreamer, The Believer is in stores now.
Earlier this weekend Rick Ross & Common performed at D.Wade’s 30th Birthday soiree thrown by his BAD ASS significant other Gabrielle Union. Common’s performance can be found below.

These assholes.
Eric and Jeff sit down with Commmon for their latest episode of The Check-In. Sigh. These fool are always entertaining. And Common was a great sport about it.
Common called into DJ WhooKid’s show recently to further explain his reasoning for aiming at Drake on “Sweet”, doing a joint album with Nasir Jones, Maya Angelou and his former thang Serena Williams. Not sure where this feud of the light skinned rappers are going, but according to the chessboard, it’s Sherbert’s move. The Dreamer, The Believer is in stores now.
