Looks like Rozay’s ready for another signing spree lol. Sway inquired about the chitter chatter in regards to Ross linking up with Emilio Rojas and DOM Kennedy. I would have to say if this all goes through, MMG would DEFINITELY be a diverse bunch. Thoughts on either party signing to the MMG umbrella?

And oldie, but goodie from the homey DOM Kennedy. It’s about two years old. Wonder when we’re getting some new material.

DOM Kennedy was in Seattle recently for his W$GT$ Tour and talked with MCC about his favorite clothing brand, classic kicks, where he likes to take the young ladies during a night on the town and what we can expect from him in 2012. This was released around the top of the year, but I thought it deserved some shine around these parts.
Soaring West Coast artists Kendrick Lamar (who helped launch the adidas Originals 2011 boot collection), Dom Kennedy, YG and Casey Veggies recently shut down Los Angeles for the adidas Original & MMXLII present RESPECT THE WEST showcase. Hosted in the heart of Downtown Los Angeles, RESPECT THE WEST catered a unique, live-music experience to over 400 industry tastemakers and influencers, which coincided with the famed sneaker convention, Sneaker Con.
Along with exciting performances from all four rising artists and a DJ set by DJ Drewbyrd, RESPECT THE WEST was complete with an open bar, delicious food trucks, fun photo booths and of course amazing adidas Original giveaways.

Live from Neumos (December 13) hours before his show in Seattle, I sat down with Dom Kennedy. In our sit-down, Dom opens up about the process for creating From The Westside, With Love 2, touching on if it was harder to make music people should buy or not and if he felt like he should’ve held on to any records from The Original Dom Kennedy. Next, we move into the possibility of a CDC project and who he’d want to do a collaborative project if given the opportunity. Finally, we shift into details surrounding his studio session with rick Ross, those MMG rumors (and if he’s signing) and finally, what his 2012 will hold for him. From The Westside, With Love 2 is available now.
