Failure is not a option for Jon Connor. Although his name continues to grace the internets pages every other day JC reminds up that he has still got alot of work to do until he has reached his goal. This record with Freeway won’t do any harm. “Season 2″ drops a week today.

Freeway’s a walking fashion feature. Here he shows off symbolic jewelry honoring album releases and his group State Property, as well as the shirt off his back from a clothing line he’s developing. But there’s something deeper too, with Freeway crediting his rap career to a school-age love of violin and poetry. Born and raised Philly, in December Freeway traveled to Africa for the first time to perform, and you can tell he’s still proud and impressed by the places his music has taken him.
Perched on the balcony at Philadelphia’s Fluid nightclub, Freeway brings a rugged energy to “what we do.” No phony vocal track pushed through the speakers here—this is the sound of a man confident in his words.

Tagless cut from Freezer’s “The Intermission” mixtape which is out now. In the words of Freeway, this is that Burger King flow.
Sidenote: Does this remind anyone else of Wiz Khalifa’s “Talor Gang” joint? No, ok, just me.
