This shit sounds soooooooooooooo fucking ill backed by a live band. Yeeeeesh! I’m sure we’ll see this tonight during Jay’s first appearance at SXSW in Austin, Texas. Yeah, the live stream will be available to watch at 730pm on UHTN!
RESPECT: Amex
Here goes more HQ footage from Jay-Z’s show at the Carnegie Hall in NYC last month. Don’t forget he will be at the SXSW for Amex Sync Show this Monday (March 12th).
Probably one of Hov’s most popular songs to perform at ANY venue. I can only imagine the energy it provided at Carnegie Hall. Since Amex announced their show with Mr. Carter at SXSW, I’m assuming they’ll start rolling out official footage from Jay’s infamous Carnegie Hall performance a month ago.
Shawn Carter WOULD schedule his show for Monday, March 12th at 8pm…two damn days before I get to SXSW. Who the hell he think he is? Inconsiderate ass. *Turns on Ether*
If anyone knows Jay-Z’s next musical move, it’s this man. Over the past year or so, Guru’s has been letting of little hints here and there about Jay’s forthcoming solo project and how it’s sort of a concept project but not really. Well yesterday, Complex released a nice interview with the DJ/Engineer/Producer about Jay’s creative whereabouts and some other interesting things you might need to know. Below you can find his response in regards to Jay’s next solo LP.
“Jay-Z is always working on stuff, it’s a concept that I can’t talk about but I’m marveled at how smart this guy is. When he told me the concept, I was like ‘Why didn’t I think of that?’ It was just so simple. It’s not a concept album though. It’s not like American Gangster, it’s not a Beatles concept album. It has a concept and a title, and the title and the concept fit him so well that people are going to be like ‘Wow.’ I like certain writers because it takes me 8,000 paragraphs to get my full point across. When somebody can take what I just said and condense it into two sentences and still have the same effectiveness, that’s a good writer. The simplicity of the title and the concept that it conveys is incredible. I can’t tell you the title, it’s so good it’s like, ‘Oh my god why didn’t I think of that? What made you think of that and why haven’t we done that before?’ It’s just staring us in the face all these years, we could’ve been put that out as an album concept.”

Papa Carter brought his newest artist Rita Ora up to Z100 recently to debut her new single “Party & Bullshit.” What do we think people?

So with Jay-Z at # 6, I’m assuming Big and Pac got the top 2 slots right? Cool. Bet you Blue is stirring in her Secret Service protected crib in a private bunker in a newly discovered section in NYC.
Says P:
“We’re working on something, it’s crazy. Well, you know, he’s very discreet about details and stuff. I’m just a filmmaker, musically. I let everybody else play the roles.”
2nd Throne album? Solo album? Take your pick folks.
