It’s apparent that Dwayne Carter will be living on the road for the next five years, I’m almost sure of it. Off the success of his recent I Am Still Music tour which featured Travis Barker, Rozay and Nicki Minaj, Weezy and company have now extended the excursion throughout the 2011 summer season.
However, some new faces have been added to the fold. While Rick Ross and team MMG will remain intact, Keri Hilson, Far East Movement and Lloyd will now get a chance to shine on the tour. The second leg of the tour will kick off on July 13 in Hartford, CT at the Comcast Theater and end in Woodlands, Texas at the Woodlands Amphitheater on September 11th. Keri took to Jimmy Kimmel Live to perform her latest.
The R&B songstress took the Aloft stage with a full band and two background singers and fans were treated to a three-song set from her brand-new sophomore album, “No Boys Allowed,” including “Beautiful Mistake” and “Lose Control (Let Me Down).” Released Dec. 21 on Interscope/Zone 4 Records, the album’s title may sound like a girl power party waiting to happen but it’s even more complex and considered. Her “ladies first” perspective, which includes an “imaginary clubhouse” where all women – single, taken, and anywhere in between — take control of their confidence and realize it’s the key to self-empowerment is front and center, but men are also part of the picture.
