Lil Kim premiered this on Kay Slay’s show a few weeks back but now she comes through with the official MP3 & artwork. Although I actually quite like this record I don’t think this is the single Kim is hoping it’ll be.
Kim stopped by DJ Kay Slay’s show on Shade45 earlier today, she premiered to new tracks. First is a freestyle over Uncle Murda’s “Warning” in which she decides to throw shots at Nicki Minaj, Birdman & Lil Wayne. Second up is a new single from her, ripped for now.
Eve’s had about enough of Lil Kim’s antics. The philly spitter, who was a visitor on Tim Westwood’s radio program with guest host Kerry D recently alongside Bun B who both were out in the UK for the Gumball 3000 Rally, spoke briefly about the petty match between Nicki and Kim and how jealousy is truly a female trait.
The First Lady Of Ruff Ryderz explained to Kerry D, “You know, it’s definitely a nice group of females that’s out representing, but because I come from hip-hop, I need more females in hip-hop,” said Eve. “Nicki definitely is holding the flag down, and a lot of people be wanting me to hate just because that’s how girls supposed to do in hip-hop, but I’m loving everything she does. But we need more females, man. There’s too much testosterone in the hip-hop game.”
Eve then turned her attention to how she would’ve handled Lil Kim if they were in the same circle. “I need her to stop. If I was Kim’s friend, I’d be like, yo. ‘cause she’s Kim, period,” said Eve. “So she never has to feed [into the beef]. She shouldn’t. It’s bad. It’s not a good look. If I was her friend, I’d tell her, yo, just come back bigger and better. The best way to get at people is to do you better than you’ve ever done you. So that’s it.”
Welp, to bad Eve’s not in her circle because if she was, I’d probably wouldn’t be writing this post and Kim would be a bit more focused than she already is.
I’ve been rooting for Lil’ Kim through this entire thing and anyone who says she didn’t get in Nicki’s ass on this song is straight hating. Its just a shame she played herself by lying about her mixtape numbers though. Dah well.
Juelz Santana’s star studded birthday bash takes place on February 22nd at M2 in NYC and is hosted by Diddy, Birdman, Lil Kim, Fabolous, Chris Brown, Al Harrington & Wilson Chandler of the New York Knicks. I’m still dying at how corny that promo invitational clip was.
