Nelly returns with a brand new single from his upcoming seventh studio album M.O., and he’s teaming up with Nicki Minaj and Pharrell. This is actually the most comfortable Nelly has sounded in a long, long time, so let’s salute the man Pharrell for this one.
FINALLY! With the streaming of The Gifted on iTunes last night, our neighborhood friendly eGeeks got their hands on MY favorite track, “Clappers” featuring Juicy J and Nicki Minaj. Personally, I think this record should have been serviced earlier so it didn’t suffer from a soft roll out via an album leak. That go-go fusion sounds marvelous on the Mark Henry production. The visual for “Clappers” is being shot out in Brooklyn, today. The Gifted arrives next Tuesday.
From the second we heard Busta’s “Twerk It” single, we could hear his YMCMB label mate Nicki Minaj all over it. Well, it’s nothing but Cash Money on the remix as Rhymes grabs the Big Booty Bopper. I think there needs to be an official twerk video, strictly of Nicki Minaj.
Though it’s been almost a FULL year since Rosenberg spoke his feelings about Nicki’s “Starships” on the Summer Jam festival stage, he and Nicki are JUST now meeting face to face for an attempt at putting things behind them. Judging by this 26 minute conversation, I would say both parties articulated their respective points where they could come to a common ground of understanding. And it’s also good to see Nicki open up about her career up to this point. Needless to say, we DO need Nicki spitting bars again. It’s needed. Can’t wait to see what she comes up with.

French Montana’s most recent single from his debut album gets the remix treatment, which finds him adding Rick Ross, Wale, Movado and DJ Khaled to the track. Excuse My French is current scheduled to release on May 21st, but is anyone still taking bets on that?
