So last night I was chilling, kicking back and watching Twitter go fucking mad over the Giants Superbowl victory. Being from the sunny (not really) UK the Superbowl is not really a big deal to me, hell I don’t even know the NFL rules *waits for abusive comment*. Anyway, whilst I was kicking back with a bottle of Corona with the iPod on shuffle. I was in a suttle mood, just steadily letting the device flick through on it’s own devices. Then THIS SHIT came on and I was up and dancing around my crib like a mad man. What else you need other than the God MC & the DJ Premier scratches? This lived on his 1999 album “The Master”. In my best Rakim voice, THIS RIGHT HERE IS FOR ALL OF Y’ALL.
Angie Martinez is the fucking don for setting this up. In ASAP’s last interview with the lovely Angie he revealed that he is named after the god MC Rakim. ASAP’s real name is Rakim for the slow ones. Angie said she would get Rakim to meet ASAP, well she stuck to her word. Great watch. Part 2 under the hood.
