Talib Kweli stopped by Sway’s “In The Morning” show to drop some bars. Not technically a freestyle as it’s from an upcoming track titled “Distraction”. He actually performed the track last month at Occupy Wall Street, no hate though, Kweli is ill.
The Next is comprised of MC Mojo the Cinematic (of Dujeous renown) and guitarist Taylormade Sounds. For their debut single (yes, this is a debut AND a world premiere!) they got the homies Talib Kweli and Immortal Technique on board, just to let you know they’re serious (for the recs, they’re serious). But just as important as the artist credits is the information that 25% of the proceeds from this song will got to the #OccupyWallStreet movement via the Alliance for Global Justice.

“Time Leak” features Talib Kweli on the verses and Sly Johnson’s soulful belting on the hooks. The music video pays homage to The Matrix, Alien, the work of David Cronenberg, and any other spacey cult classic you can name drop. The visuals show Union ‘controlling” a female body with their instrumentals, eventually bringing her to life and getting her to dance. This single is available on a very special 12″ offering from Fat Beats Records newest and most mysterious signees, Union.
