It’s obvious Irv Gotti is ready to get back to work. And last I remember, Gotti was extremely active during Jeezy’s Thug Motivation: 103 listening session about a month back which had me thinking some sort of position was being secured. But with this brief interview with The Source Magazine, Irv’s tone on the situation offers something different. Not sure what the hold up is, but that position has been vacant since the start of 2008. Only time will tell.

The Source is rapping up 2011 with giving Man Of The Year honors to Rick Ross and Rookie Of The Year honors to Big Sean. Interesting if I must say so myself. Feeling like two other candidates deserved the spots? Hit that comment section up, BITCH!

With Sherbert getting comfortable in his own lane, it’s about that time Mr. Graham starts shooting for the stars, literally. In the Power 30 Issue of The Source Magazine, the man of the hour tells Kim Osorio while he admires the talents and success of Kanye West, he’s looking to surpass everything and anything the Louis Vuitton Don has accomplished.
“It’s an honor,” Drake says of the Kanye comparisons. “When I was a kid trying to figure out what I liked, it was ‘Ye who I related to the most. He was an artist, in every sense, from his cover art to his music. Now, I would say, he is really great,” Drake pauses, choosing his carefully, “competitor…and friend, at the same time.” He continues, “My goal is to surpass everything he’s accomplished. I don’t want to be as good as Kanye, I want to be better.”
The Power 30 issue and Take Care arrive November 15th.
While the world is still pretty shocked at The Biebs’ impressive delivery over “Otis”, Jermaine isn’t shocked at Justin’ s attempt at the the task. Dupri explains that it’s the age factor that gives Justin the ok to experiment with rapping but as a career move it’s not wise because he’s a singer, and that’s what he should stick with. However, for the simple fact it’s being discussed on such a platform as The Source, JD thinks Biebs set out what he accomplished to do. What do you guys think?
